Competing Realities and Crisis Mode

This deserves to go up from Dear Laura. What reality do we want. I’d rather make the choice that supports me to be more whole and balanced than have the rug ripped out from under me because I continue to try and do the same old stuff the same way

Laura Bruno's Blog

I can’t reblog this post another time, but it wants to go up again: “El Mundo Bueno. Remember that no matter how dire things seem, the “Good Reality” remains available and infinitely, intimately close for those willing to reach for it. I mentioned on April 24th that yes, the energies have been very, very intense for many people. As I said to David tonight after another round of emails requesting sessions or reporting current challenges, “The Universe is turning up the heat, driving in the nail, tightening the screws.”

Talking the talk without walking the walk is getting really difficult. Engaging in co-dependent behavior patterns that prevent others from learning their lessons or taking responsibility for their own lives now occurs without the energetic support of the Universe. If you continue to insist on maintaining that which no longer serves, you’ll find it much harder to do so, because you’ll…

Lunaria and Fancy Tulips

I woke up to your happy and colorful flower post. Looks amazing. Good way to start the morning Laura. Happy little flower faces💐🌼🌻🥀🌹🌷🌸🌺

This Lunaria comes all the way from Bealtaine Cottage in Ireland! Well, the seeds did. I got them from Colette a few years ago, and the Lunaria has finally found its favorite spot at Faery Hof:

In Case You Wondered … Yes, the Energies Have Been Intense!

Oh yes!!! Thank you Laura. Feeling it and riding the wave. Surf is up!!

Laura Bruno's Blog

I keep getting emails, questions in sessions, and private texts from clients, friends and family asking me what the heck is up with the recent energies. Yes, they have been VERY intense! Some people have been using these energies as rocket fuel for positive changes. Others have felt overwhelmed by sudden health crises, major relationship flare-ups, mandatory evacuations, and “out of the blue” switcheroo’s.

I personally am doing very well, with lots of super synchronous opportunities appearing and requiring openness and readiness for change. I know many people have had their worlds rocked in the past two weeks, though, because I’ve heard about it in sessions. I coach a number of therapists, and they also noted a major uptick in crises, emotional outbursts and addictive relapses, especially since Easter. It feels like a big cleanse, in which the old gunk temporarily recirculates before its full release. It also feels like…

Texas School Triples Recess Time, Solving Attention Deficit Disorder

Recess or breaks are awesome. I do my best work after taking them throughout the day. Or even a play day during the week. Balance is key. Good news

Public education is more stressful than ever for our children, as standardized testing requirements increase and programs like art, music and physical education are being phased out. The result of this type of environment is predictable, and the medical establishment and big pharma are making a killing by drugging active children with ADHD medications and other psychotropic drugs in order to ensure conformity.

There are better solutions. Meditation in schools is highly effective at reducing school violence and increasing concentration for learning. Higher quality nutritious and organic foods, rather than processed snack foods and fast foods, when served in school cafeterias are another part of creating an environment more conducive to the needs of children.

The most common sense, natural solution to inattentive behavior in school children, however, may be the basic idea of giving children more time to free play and to…

Peaceful Transformation & Updates on Changes Being Implemented

I have been meaning to reblog this from when I first read it and hadn’t. This morning it popped up again for me. Perfect timing to share

So much of this I resonate with in many ways and I feel it in those around me. Sharing a paragraph from the post by my dear friend Tania Marie that felt good and full of truth. Read on for more

“After all, if we truly believe we are abundant beings, then we ARE abundant beings. There isn’t only one opportunity that will arrive and by saying “no” that’s it. You have the ability to manifest limitless opportunities and each one will provide a different level of potential.”

Tania Marie

I can’t tell you enough how much I’m witnessing both in my own life and that of others, an incredible, consistent, and rapid amount of change taking place in really big, sometimes surprising, yet always supportive ways. There’s been an increase in the last few weeks of full-circle experiences, messages of re-strengthening boundaries, a need to continually reassess and realign ourselves with what’s truest and most authentic to our spirit and heart right now, the power of choice with committed action to back it up, wake-up calls in terms of health and life shifts, and experiences paralleling timelines, but on a whole other plane and frequency with the closing and opening of doors rapidly sliding into manifestation.

I keep hearing from many about these reflections and have been witnessing a wide gamut of contrasting experiences from people including death, suicide, marriage, endings and beginnings of relationships, births, pregnancy, career changes…

Java, Squirrels, RV and Doves

Today was a confluence of all sorts of emotions, realizations and gifts.  Each day has this for me, but some days stand out for different reasons.  Today was one of those days.

I started out this morning to take some items to my RV where it’s stored.  I have been sifting through things since I moved, and I realized instead of giving some of these items away I could actually use them in the RV, such as blankets and sheets, towels, along with other household items.

I was in my car heading down the road a few miles, and I spotted a beautiful squirrel on the road that had been hit by a car.  As is my practice, if I have no time constraints, and that it appears fairly safe, I’ll pull the car over and stop.  I’ll pull out my loose tobacco and head over to the animal with some sort of item to pick it up in, normally a plastic bag, take it to the side of the road, lay it on the ground amongst the plants growing to allow nature to take it’s course, say prayers over it, speak to it’s spirit to help calm it, since they usually don’t know what has happened to them, and then sprinkle tobacco over it to bless. it.

Well today was no different.  I turned the car around to go back to where the squirrel was, stopped the car, picked up the squirrel holding a plastic bag, laid him in the bushes on the side of the road, said prayers, did some Reiki and then sprinkled tobacco over him.  As I looked up, I hadn’t noticed but I was in front of a corral, where 3 horses and come over to the fence and had been watching me do this.  I even realized they had been holding sacred space as I said the prayers,  called on reiki and spread the tobacco.  It was truly moving.  As I left, I spoke to the horses and sent them a blessing because I realized they had seen the squirrel hit by the car.  So I wanted to make sure they were ok as well.  I asked them to say prayers for the little squirrel to help him on his way.  I knew he was in good hooves. 🙂

As I got into the car and started driving it struck me that the last time I had found a squirrel in the road was a few months ago, probably the week before Java passed.  We had been heading home from a short trip into Sedona.  I spotted the squirrel and turned the car around and did my thing again.  Java was in the car laying in the back seat as I got out and set him on the side of the road, saw how beautiful he was, prayed and left tobacco.  That brought Java to the forefront of my mind, in that remembrance.

I headed toward the RV storage, smiling and remembering the times Java and I had done so many things together.  Feeling such a huge warmth in my heart, loving him and he loving me.  We understood one another.  Got to the storage lot, and unlocked the RV and the minute I opened that RV door waves of energy of Java and I hit me like a tidal wave.  Java and I spent time in the RV before he passed on a number of outings.  Close quarters, full of adventure and love side by side.

The last time I had gone inside the RV, was in early January, to put something in it I had bought and Java was with me in the car, laying on the backseat.  He didn’t want to get out that day, he just wanted to stay there.   I wasn’t expecting the wave of energy that hit me.  It was so palpable.  The tears started to flow and I just let them.   We had really good times in there for the short time he and I had it together.

As soon as I was able to collect myself I step outside the door onto the step and these birds flew right by my face up the tree the RV is backed up to.  It was a pair of doves, male and female.   They turned around and looked at me and gave each other a few kisses…..anyway, they looked like kisses to me……then they flew off.  I felt Java had sent them to me.

I love you Java.   I miss you but I know you are always near.  There is absolutely NO one like YOU.

Java in the snow Jan 2017

After these connections, I was inspired to do a number of posts today.  Thank you Java, thank you squirrel, thank you (3) horses, and thank you doves for prompting me to make these posts and giving me an answer to something I had been mulling over for a few months on my new website Deer Heart Reiki.

Deer Heart Reiki

img_2449My new logo, I am no longer Reiki Dawn (although I’m still attempting to figure out how to change it on my WordPress.com blog address).  My practice is now Dear Heart Reiki.

Why Deer Heart Reiki?

Deer has been my spirit totem animal since I was a child.  Everywhere I have ever lived deer have surrounded me, not just a few but many.  They represent so much of what I have strived for in my life. They have been very powerful yet gentle teachers to me and continue to be.   I respect and honor their medicine greatly. Deer Medicine is the cornerstone of my life, thus by extension my healing practice.

Deer Medicine:  http://www.spiritanimal.info/deer-spirit-animal/

When you have the deer as spirit animal, you are highly sensitive and have a strong intuition. By affinity with this animal, you have the power to deal with challenges with grace. You master the art of being both determined and gentle in your approach. The deer totem wisdom imparts those with a special connection with this animal with the ability to be vigilant, move quickly, and trust their instincts to get out the trickiest situations.

What is the meaning of the deer totem?

The meanings associated with the deer combine both soft, gentle qualities with strength and determination:
  • Gentleness
  • Ability to move through life and obstacles with grace
  • Being in touch with inner child, innocence
  • Being sensitive and intuitive
  • Vigilance, ability to change directions quickly
  • Magical ability to regenerate, being in touch with life’s mysteries

Dear spirit animal, symbol of gentleness and heart energy

When you have the deer as spirit animal, you are able to bring gentleness and grace in every aspects of your life, even in the most challenging moments. By inspiration from the deer’s qualities, you can achieve ambitious goals and tackle difficult situation smoothly with a touch of gentleness and grace.

The deer spirit animal will remind you to be gentle with yourself and others. The grace and gentleness characteristic of this spirit animal echo the qualities brought forth when living from the heart. For example, the traditional symbol used for the heart chakra has the deer (sometimes also represented as an antelope) as emblematic animal of the energy of love and harmony with oneself and others.

Do you want more abundance and success in your life? Your personal vibration frequency could be the thing holding you back. To start raising your energetic frequency today, you’ll want to download the Energetic Breakthrough Kit from Christie Sheldon. This proven method includes a few things but most of all check out the heart center awakening meditation!
What about the heart portion of Deer Heart Reiki?

That is so tied in with deer (as you can read above) as well as with the times we are in now.  It’s also who I am at my soul.  I have always come from the heart.  For as long as I can remember I have always shared how I “felt”, not usually what I thought.   I tune into my heart, along with my intuition (my higher self) and rely on my experience (wisdom) to guide me.  That’s how I approach my healing practice. That’s who I am, and that’s how I work.

I’ve almost completed my new website and I will let you know when I publish it.  I will be offering my services but in a slightly different format which I am working on at this time.

Here’s to all the magick, innocence and joy in this world.   It’s part of my every day world.

A very special thank you to Neal Williams who designed my new logo.   He took to heart what my vision was, and created something simple, heartfelt and elegant. I especially love the incorporation of the male and female deer nose to nose, which represents the divine masculine and feminine to me.  I am very grateful to him.

Who am I listening to?

I had a discussion with someone at an event that I was at this weekend.  Well let me correct myself.  It wasn’t really a discussion, it was them sharing “unasked” their opinion on something that I had shared with them in responding to a question they had asked me.

It doesn’t really matter what the question was, or what I was sharing.  What it boiled down to was they were telling me about something they had heard and that I should adhere to these beliefs.  He was very strongly inferring that I adhere to this.  I thanked him for the info and walked off.

As I have contemplated this discussion over the past few days, I have come to the conclusion to listen to my heart, my higher self and divine wisdom that I will do as I am directed by Spirit, my Creator and my own Intuition.   I claim this as my right and I reject the old way of doing things, such as archaic rules that at one time may have served us, but no longer do.

Everything is morphing and transforming.  Including ways of doing things.  I find freedom and the truth in divine guidance, not in what someone shares such as their opinion.  Although I respect they have the right to believe whatever they wish, I also have the right of freedom to follow my heart and intuition.  As far as I’m concerned and what is evolving for me is that divine guidance comes directly to and through me, not necessarily from other’s opinions or beliefs.

I honor and respect my feelings and intuitions, I trust them completely.  That’s who I listen to.

I felt it was really important to declare this right now, not only for me but for the collective consciousness.

Recycled Seed Starting Materials: Paper Pots, Watering Bottles, and Venetian Blind Labels

Very good suggestions here

The Druid's Garden

Seedlings growing in recycled materials! Seedlings growing in recycled materials!

The spring is a wonderful time to begin starting your seeds–and here in Western PA, we just crossed the “eight weeks before last frost” threshold, so it is a bit of an urgent matter! This means that this weekend is the time to start many of the warm season crops and perennial herbs. Today’s post takes a “recycled” spin on seed starting to share with you a number of tricks for seed starting all using recycled and repurposed materials (drawing upon the permaculture principle, “waste is a resource”). For these seed starting options, we are making use of many typical “trash” and “recycle bin” products: newspaper, styrofoam take-out trays, two-liter soda bottles, and Venetian blinds. Even if your household doesn’t produce this stuff yourself, a simple walk down any suburban or town street will likely yield more of these materials than you’ll likely ever…

Libra Full Moon & Sedona Magick

Sharing this full moon post from dear friend Tania Marie. She packs allot in this. Love her posts

Tania Marie

Approaching Full Moon over Courthouse Rock

Balance and harmony are key energies for this Pink Full Moon in Libra on the 11th and how we can channel this in a way that tempers both our individual needs with collective integration for a higher good as One. I’m seeing new opportunities being presented to us all if we keep our hearts open and release attachment to how things “have” to be. Every moment can open us to wider perspectives and potentials with some willingness to discern and feel to the core of things. A great time to readjust our energy output to that which supports optimal and empowering well-being.

How can you support yourself into your authenticity without judging others for what they are revealing of themselves as their own process at the same time?

The more we remove our own…
