I was certified as a Reiki Master Teacher in 2008. It’s been such a blessing and a time of expanding personal growth spiritually, emotionally, physically and mentally. I want to share what I have been taught as well as serve by teaching Reiki and offering Reiki sessions, healing attunements and long distance healing. So far I have had some really special and meaningful opportunities and encounters using Reiki, both in the human and animal world. As you look through the blog, you will find a few stories related to those instances, one is a “Reiki Birth Story” and the other is “A Wonderful Teacher”.
Some of the other areas I am choosing to focus my practice on are working with animals whenever I can, whether with humane societies, shelters, SPCA’s, wildlife rescues, and individually as opportunities present themselves. To be able to help assist an animal in distress, injury, pain or a fearful situation is something I am dedicated to.
Another area I’m interested in working is with people going through chemotherapy/radiation treatments, using Reiki as a complimentary healing modality to help alleviate some of the symptoms and side effects they experience with this treatment. Reiki works well for pain management which enables the individual to feel more comfortable during these challenging treatments.
Then if I could be of assistance to people in hospice type situations. Reiki is a wonderful way to comfort and aid those in transition from this life to the next step on their journey. It helps to uplift the spirit and embodies a feeling of well-being and balance. Each journey is unique and it’s an honor and blessing to be part of that process by assisting each person in the way that is right for them.
Lastly, I would very much like to practice Reiki in birthing situations to help the mother and child to have a more peaceful, painless and loving experience during the birthing process, whether a need of rest, relaxation or pain management for the mother ensuring a less stressful experience for the child about to be born.
These are my wishes, dreams and intentions for my Reiki practice, a way to serve my community, human family and animals, blessing one and all. We are all one and connected.
I live in Cottonwood, AZ near Sedona, I moved here after living in Utah for a few years. I am excited to renew my teaching practice. You will see the latest class schedule listed on the blog. As I continue to work on the blog and expand it, you will find information on what each class offers, what healing sessions are available and their descriptions, pricing, and payment options. Feel free to ask any questions, I will be happy to help in answering. If I don’t know, I’ll say that and if I can find out, I’ll say that too. Thank you for visiting my blog and supporting the journey. Dawn Vierra RMT
